I love Stossel, but he cut a couple of corners here. The lawyer said he was happy to scare off companies from making unsafe products so that lives would be saved. And Stossel didn't fully explain the Google settlement. Stossel is correct overall, of course, but I wish he'd tried harder here to be fair to the other side. He usually is.
