But did he close his quote?

@enterpassword3313 Wow. Venezuela's failure is a failure of capitalism? That is a level of ignorance that is nearly impossible to fathom.
3
@enterpassword3313 Time to wake up, sweetheart. Because facts don't care about your feelings.
3
@enterpassword3313 Venezuela used to have a free market economy; at that point they had the richest economy in South America. Along came Chavez and started screaming about taking from the rich and giving it to the poor. Which is how he got elected.
2
@enterpassword3313 Lol! Do you even read your own comments? You are seriously embarassing yourself.
2
@jima9185 Lol! Thank you for that.
1
@jeremygibbs7342 You are repeating a myth propagated by the left. In fact, the free market has been proven repeatedly to be the most successful economic system. "Social democracy" or "democratic socialism" has failed, just not as dramatically as outright socialism has.
1
@jeremygibbs7342 Democratic socialism is a failure. Free market capitalism has outperformed it consistently.
1
@Greg-yu4ij You're kidding, right? I wonder what you would have said 200 years ago, during the Industrial Revolution.
1
@jeremygibbs7342 That comment of yours is fact-free and history-free.
1
@GruntoSkunko Lol! In free societies, the people vote. They don't overthrow the people they themselves chose. That happens in socialist countries, once people get sick of the lack of freedom.
1
@enterpassword3313 Lol! It's rather amusing when highly ignorant people like yourself get all puffed up and start lecturing utter nonsense.
1
@enterpassword3313 Chavez then "nationalized" (aka stole) the oil producing companies. On what planet is the government just stole all the private companies producing the #1 wealth-producing item in the country considered capitalism? Wake up.
1
@enterpassword3313 Oh, and what exactly did Chavez call himself? What does Maduro call himself? Socialists!
1
@enterpassword3313 Venezuela was the richest country in South America.
1
@enterpassword3313 Along came Hugo Chavez, and seized ("nationalized", lol) the oil companies, which was the biggest basis of their wealth, promising redistribution. Anyone who calls that free market capitalism should repeat the 8th grade.
1
@enterpassword3313 The government stealing private businesses is free market capitalism? This is just some elaborate troll, right? You can't possibly be such a fool...right? RIGHT?? Nice try with that nonsense. Maybe it works on someone as uninformed as yourself. I don't know, I can't decide if you are really that young and foolish to believe the idiocy you write, or if you spend your life trolling. Either way, that's really sad.
1
@enterpassword3313 Beyond the obvious, both Chavez and Maduro proudly wave the flag of socialism. This is hardly a secret.
1
@enterpassword3313 Thank you for admitting the truth. Finally. Yes, they implemented socialism in the late 1990s, and went from the richest country in the region to the poorest. If Venezuela were such a roaring economy, why would they need the US to trade with them? Shouldn't the US need Venezuela? No serious person believes that the reason people in Venezuela are getting food by dumpster diving and by eating their pets is because the US won't trade with them. Free market economies don't have to worry about such things.
1
@enterpassword3313 Serious question: How old are you? Your writing such obvious nonsense suggests that you are very young. Even acting as if no one noticed that Venezuela is one more socialist disaster until Charlie Kirk came along makes clear your obvious youth and ignorance.
1
@enterpassword3313 Lol! Your definition of free market capitalism: The government seizing successful companies from the private sector. I couldn't make this stuff up.
1
@enterpassword3313 Why would Venezuela need the US to be succcessful? Why not the reverse? Think.
1
@enterpassword3313 Which socialist teacher is filling your brain with this nonsense?
1
@enterpassword3313 Your ignorance is matched only by your blindness, presumably the result of childishness. Falsely labeling successful economies as "socialism", while making believe that socialist failures are free market? Doesn't make it so.
1
@enterpassword3313 I used to teach a basic 12th grade economics course. The notion that Charlie Kirk is my source of information? Further evidence that you are very young.
1
@enterpassword3313 As it happens, Kirk is correct. But the notion that no one noted socialism's utter failure until Kirk came along? You are very, very young.
1
@enterpassword3313 No, Alaska is not based upon socialism. (It actually couldn't be, as it would violate the US Constitution.)
1
@enterpassword3313 No, Venezuela is not free market. The government forcibly taking over successful businesses is not how free markets work.
1
@enterpassword3313 Free market economies don't need to be propped up by outside countries, nor would they fail because a specific outside country chose not to trade with them.
1
@enterpassword3313 This is all extremely basic and simple. I can (and have) explained such things to beginner econ students, but it does require a willingness to be open and honest, without which I can't help you.
1
@enterpassword3313 Lol! I proved you wrong, repeatedly, clear as day, as everyone reading this comment section can see. Give it up, child.
1
@enterpassword3313 "Alaska and Venezuela have the same economic system". Statements like that demonstrate that you are not to be taken seriously. In fact, it seems quite clear that you have no understanding whatsoever of the very basic definitions of free market economies and of socialist economies.
