  1.  @deancarpenter2122  That is the real problem, welfare programs. Takes up a mammoth portion of the federal budget. Foreign spending is but a relative pittance and, unlike welfare spending, worth every penny. The domestic entitlements actually create perverse incentives which lead to many social ills.

The obsessive focus some place on foreign spending, which not only is minimal but also highly productive, is an example of the ignorant, knee-jerk populism in vogue among the ignorant today.
