Both Trump and DeSantis are Florida residents. According to the Constitution, electors can only vote for one candidate from their own state, not two. As such, Florida could vote either for Trump or DeSantis, but not both. Anyway, it is time we moved past Trump already.

@Victorblud Funny how you asked me to explain the facts only after you insisted that I'm wrong. Do you not see a problem there? Anyway, the 25th Amendment spells out the rather extended amd somewhat convoluted process of replacing an existing president against or without his will. It is vastly more complicated than the VP making a declaration. Instead of both arguing with me (wrongly) and then afterward asking me to explain the facts, try reading the 25th Amendment. I really don't need to provide a Constitutional law class here, which would take some time. After all, I am on summer break now. And it is not as if the 25th Amendment is classified. Just read it, then come back here and admit you were wrong.

@danielplainview5085 1. Trump is a legal resident of Florida. 2. Trump used to be a legal resident of New York. He has never been a legal resident of any state besides those two, NY and FL. 3. Trump is by far the weakest candidate the GOP could nominate, and quite possibly the only Republican alive who would lose to Biden in 2024.

Because those of us who are educated and have been around for a few years - meaning before Trump burst in the scene in 2015 - and also have our wits about us (not suffering from dementia) understand what a conservative is, and what a conservative is not. Trump is about as conservative as is Bernie Sanders.

And if you still don't understand it, then hire a tutor. Note: I charge $100/hr. Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President. Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.
