@aqueous5099 Apparently you are unaware that correlation does not imply causation. No serious person believes that poverty (or generally poor economic conditions) causes crime. As to crime statistics, you didn't quite get that one right either. Violent crime declined precipitously from the early 1990s through the mid-2010s, then began to rise in some cities, and skyrocketed starting with the George Floyd riots.
