  23. Untrue. Trump pardoned Steve Bannon, for example, sparing him a prison sentence for ripping off millions of dollars from regular folks, a crime Bannon had committed shortly before. Bannon pretended he was raising money to build a border wall, and instead went on vacations and bought fancy cars. And Trump pardoned him.

But Aidala would have insisted on presenting the defense properly, while Trump instead interfered, demanding they deny not only the affair, but even the payoff.
