  3. 25 years ago my sister-in-law received a call saying that her husband, (my brother,) had secretly run up gambling debts. She got off the phone and called him immediately. Thankfully, she believed his denials, otherwise it might have caused marital problems. But she was told afterward that she shouldn't have listed both her and her husband's first names in the telephone book, but rather use first initials only.
