President Biden has saved millions of Americans' lives, plus 1/4 million refugees from Afghanistan with the largest civilian evacuation mission ever known. Then, President Biden immediately pivoted to saving more lives with hurricane Ida disaster assistance with FEMA prepared with shelters and generators. Obviously the government fled Kabul, leaving behind a headless command, so their US trained troops simply defected to the Talban. Absolutely none of that was intentional and very disappointing. Oh f'ing well, IMO. We're out and Afghans are responsible for sorting out their own problems, just as it should be. Biden evacuated as many refugees as possible within a limited window of time before sacrificing more US troops. more Americans kill each other within a 3 week period than Biden lost in a war zone. Military mission accomplished. diplomatic evacuations continue. No one else could have pulled off such complex and dangerous mission, requiring the cooperation and coordination with 16 allied nations providing temporary accommodations and visa processing for the 1/4 million refugees.

The US gave them billions of dollars worth of state of the are weaponry, just to defend itself against terrorists, including the Taliban (who our troops personally died fighting). But, after al of our sacrifices, when the time came, the Afghans didn't have the courage to fight one battle against the Taliban in order to defend their own government. So THEY gave OUR weaponry to the 'terroritst' Taliban. Do you think we are pleased with all of our efforts and 20 years of sacrifices being in vain? What more do you expect from the USA?What more could we possibly have done against terrorism? Why is America's responsibility to defend another country from its own people? Please get your facts straight and stop hating America for making the ultimate sacrifices, then being betrayed by the same people we have tried so hard to help. We just lost another 13 soldiers, evacuated 125,000 Afghans, and 5,500 International citizens to safety. How can you make such harsh judgments against US?

They slipped out if Bagram, without the Taliban even knowing. They thwarted several ISIS-K missile and bomb attacks and conducted drone counter strikes. Only one suicide bomber managed to slip past the Taliban's security perimeter. By comparison, over a 3 week period, 1800 US citizens are killed by their own neighbors with guns. You obviously have no knowledge of the factors leading up to the evacuations, the situation on the ground, and have unrealistic expectations for what defines success..
