@gerralld5211 I'm no longer religious, but to answer your question, according to the bible, Jesus was born a Jew. Therefore, he believed in a single god, named Jehovah.
But, Christians believe that an angel impregnated his mother, Mary. Therefore, Jesus was 1/2 the son of a human mother and 1/2 the son of Jehovah.
Personally, I'm much happier being free of omnipotent beings spying on my every move and inner thoughts. I live only one life and make the best of it, because it is unique and precious. No Heaven, no Hell, no ghosts, no spirits, no angels, no demons, no soul, no different than any other species (questionably more highly evolved). Oh yeah, evolution is real and human beings will most likely destroy the earth, not some divine induced battle of Armageddon.
There you have it, the theological myth, the reality of 8 billion years, and our inevitable future, in a nutshell.
The answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything is not 42 (ref: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). IMO, there is only the universal law of yin and yang, the ebbs and flows of the struggles between opposing forces. It is evident in everything from atomic particles to the gravitational forces of the universe.
Hmm, isn't the battle of Armageddon supposed to be the final battle between good and evil, heaven and hell, god and satan? You see, yin and yang exist in everything.

@rashb3994 Yes, during the semi-conscience period between sleep and waking, I have also found answers to my questions. I used to believe that is was divine knowledge. Now, I understand that the brain doesn't shut down during unconsciousness;it's more like a computer during 'sleep' or 'power saver' mode. The monitor is off, but the 'apps' are still running in the background. So, during our sleep, it is trying to make logical conclusions to whatever it doesn't understand.
IMO, this is why and how mankind conceived god(s). "If god didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent him."
Anyone who professes to speak or act in the name of a god is a very dangerous person. In 'his' name, they can justify killing (against the 10 commandments), wars, and genocide. Just look at the thousands of years of holy wars in the Middle East. 3 religions, who believe in the same god, mindlessly killing each other.

@rashb3994 Looking into the sun only proves that it causes cataracts and blindness, my friend. So it is not recommended. No doubt, after you have lost your sight, you will become very conscious of that fact.
What makes you believe that you consciousness would not have been increased anyway, while not looking into the sun? The sun is our nearest star. You're communicating with yourself.
Glad that you mentioned animals. Since they have evolved for as long as humans, what makes you believe that we are so much more intelligent? Why should we have souls, while they have not? What proof do you have that humans even have souls, that there is a god, or an afterlife? No, you can't argue that your bible tells you so, because it was only written by men after thousands of years of hear-say and was re-translated by religions to suit their agenda. After all, people need to believe that some god will punish them, unless they build the Pharaoh's pyramid. Otherwise, they would simply tell him to FO. The same philosophy applies to ornate temples and cathedrals. It takes the perception of a vengeful god to control the masses. The Caesars and pharaohs even professed to be gods.
