@maximilliancunningham6091 Land mass is irrelevant. Taiwan is the producer of 85% of chips to the world, including for military equipment and EV mfr'ing. These tiny chips are huge economic gambles.

When was the last time Xi visited Taiwan, which he considers to be part of China? Xi has already demonstrated that he doesn't want to attack Taiwan. He obviously doesn't want to kill 'his' own countrymen, nor destroy Taiwan's mfr'ing capability, which supplies 85% of the world's ICs. Instead, Xi is establishing a blockade around Taiwan, either to starve Taiwanese into submission and/or to cut off the supply of chips to western nations, which would degrade their (US) military capacities. The US should have never outsourced it's mfr'ing base to exploit cheap labor, to begin with. It has only been pouring US $ into China's military industrial machine. This is the source of the problem and this is what must stop as a matter of economics and national security.

Gee, thanks DW News for exposing the secret early withdrawal of US troops from the Kabul Airport. I'm sure that the Taliban and ISIS-K appreciate you informing them that the airport's defenses are weakened. My mother died a decade ago and her house was sold. mine is a 4 bedroom on 5 acres of land in the foothills near My-Business, USA.
