  3.  @Crowcryptic  That's true. Maggots and worms can survive and even thrive, while being more beneficial to the Earth than most highly educated humans, if that's one's chosen purpose in life. For millennia, humans have lived happily as hunter/gatherers , .... prior to the industrial age and bartering instead of $. I meant no offense towards anyone, under educated or otherwise. I was making general point of advice, not about you specifically. But, I'm very happy to discuss your specific situation. Full disclosure and with some regrets, I have little more than a 55 year old high school education and have a degree in the hard knocks of life. Since you're making this about your own personal life. Who are you? 1: A teenager preparing for the 9th grade 2: A school dropout, which never looks good on job applications, while competing against college grads. From most employers' POV, that indicates being a rebel, undisciplined, a know-it all attitude, lack of initiative, ... That doesn't even address the applicant's appearance at the interview, where one is judged the harshest. 3: Perhaps you're an adult, married with children, working 2 minimum wage jobs to support yourselves? Splitting the rent in a shared apartment? Been there, done with that. Just made my final mortgage payment on my home, 100% free of debt and finally able to live the free life @ 72. I speak from >1/2 century worth life's struggles, only to become a hermit. Yes, we have our own brains, IF we have the discipline to seek out sufficient knowledge to achieve our goals. Even while retired, I'm still a student of Youtube U, learning C++, MIDI, Kicad PCB design, electronics, and I'm just finishing the development of a 100% unique laser synthesizer for creating abstract imagery synchronized to music... for fun, not profit. "No brag, just fact." Enough about myself,. Do you have legit goals, including solid plans for achieving them or only dreams? 'Possible' indicates 'against all odds', not highly probable. It is your own life to gamble with those odds. But, it is irresponsible to advocate that others will be happy and prosperous with only an 8th grade education. The point of my comment is that we live, work, and socialize (or not) within a rapidly changing competitive global economy, which requires higher education in science, math, physics, software engineering, A. I., EVs, CAD/CAM, medicine, genetic engineering,.. Those are the same skills that have made Bezos, Musk, Gates, and many others billionaires (while exploiting the undereducated). Think about it. I'd love to hear your deeper thoughts for achieving your own version of success, which constantly changes with life, conditions, and maturity. I hope you're prepared for those rollercoaster rides of ups and downs. They will happen, whether you're prepared or not. Who cares, if you don't?
