  2. Yeh because Palestine was a region not a country.. It was a name given to the "area" by the Romans then the British not the Arabs or Jews.. Why have Arabs taken on that name? If they were the people of the land, they would have their own name for their own land, no exceptions.. The region was huge, yet most of people decided to take on new names like Jordan and Lebanon.. When the Jews decided to make Israel, all of a sudden there was a group of Arabs willing to take on a Roman name to form a country.. Arabs dont name their countries in Italian..
