  1. I don’t know man, the f-22 began development some 20 odd years ago, and is still a more advanced aircraft than the modern f-35. We’ve been at our scientific limits for a few decades now. The only thing that could drive American innovation to the next level is an adversary country building something that makes American tech obsolete. Russia developing a 6th generation interceptor that will fly at something like Mach 4.3. It’s completion will mark a new era in military aircraft, and it will push the Americans to take the next step into the future. Competition is what drives innovation.
