You know the difference between Europe and China is? Europe is even more divided.
3
Socialism was a miserable failure with 100 million tall mountain of dead bodies to prove it. Feudalism retarded human development and is generally regarded as a bad thing.
3
Constant wars between countries trying to secure their positions. It’s worse than it sounds.
3
Not at all. The Germanic cultures have always been very individualistic. Japan and South Korea are some of the most industrialized countries in the world, but they’re very collectivist.
3
There’s a trope in kong fu movies of the mad Buddha, someone driven insane by reaching enlightenment. It seems you’ve come to a similar idea.
3
Spain has territory in North Africa, and Morocco got labeled
3
The Iliad is the cornerstone of Ancient Greek literature, and your ancestors added even more depth to your equivalent. That’s not an insult.
3
These videos are speculative. Also, demographics are hugely important. You can’t run a country if all the people are geriatrics.
2
Space is to harsh that the best places are the only places you can realistically have colonies.
2
That’s because it would end to fast for foreign interference. Once water, food, and electricity are cut it would be over in three days.
2
No, it’s pride driven.
2
Not when you’re building up the reservoir. You can also shut down the flow if the water level isn’t too high or cause flooding by releasing more than would regularly be.
2
Yeah, major cities under lockdown is doing great
2
Maybe in Spanish and French but not English.
2
@abrahamgn3614 nope, it’s only the convention in Spanish and French. In English the conventions are that the continents are called the Americas and the United State of America is truncated to America.
2
@abrahamgn3614 nope, in English they are the Americas, notice the plural. In Spanish and French there are xenonyms for the US, while referring to the Americas are one region, but most just use the truncation of America for the US. You seem to be having a hard time understanding that there isn’t one objective system of classification. Each language has its own.
2
@abrahamgn3614 you have no idea what you’re talking about. North and South America are completely different tectonic plates. Hell, North America is divided between 3 plates, the North American, Pacific, and Caribbean. Also, Europe, Asia, and Africa are all connected by land.
2
@abrahamgn3614 So are Europe, Asia, and Africa. You can drive, in theory, from Cape Town to Norway passing through Asia Minor. Also, you’re really underestimating the how hard the Darien Gap is to get through.
2
China trapped inside a chain of islands, all of whom are American allies. It’s easy to blockade China from a safe distance. Also, Russia wouldn’t go against the US. China doesn’t matter that much to them, but India and access to international markets are
2
You’ve watched too much MSNBC propaganda
2
You really underestimate the development of anti-drone systems
2
@thelitsquad2718 about 400 per year and about 3,300 in total. In the Gulf War Iraq was losing more than 400 a day. In WW2 1,500 tanks were destroyed in a single battle.
2
The US has never completely stopped immigration. We’ve severely restricted it at time.
2
@ihatethewokecommies1321 for the time being, we have a stable population. However, if we can’t get the birth rate up in the next decade we’re going to have a problem.
2
Russia would probably be more like Spain in WW2 for the anti-Chinese alliance
2
@Newbmann I can see that. Russia and Turkey have come close to fighting in Syria.
2
The US has been down right gentle as the global hegemon.
2
No, the Democrats are the ones with too much power. They control two of the branches and are trying to leverage that position to take control of the third when at best the represent 1/2 the country.
2
Did you miss the whole colonial era of Canadian history?
2
@frankrenda2519 you still haven’t said anything about the Mexican-American war, but more importantly, people turning against their governments en mass would help the US.
2
The greats of all kinds
2
With how Trudeau is going, Canada is going to need liberation
2
The Soviets looked strong until right before they collapsed too.
2
China has blown through trillions in USD to keep their currency stable.
2
The US took the Northern half of Mexico and was contemplating if the US should just take it all.
2
You don’t get Churchills or Roosevelts without a Hitler
2
It’s not if they can grow food without fertilizer. It’s that the crop yields will be down 25-50%
2
Nowhere because greed isn’t the basis of capitalism; free association is.
2
1929, the US economy collapsed. 20 years later, the US in a superpower and entering one of the longest and largest economic expansions in US history
2
You Spanish speakers always get pissy about English conventions.
2
@CaptainAmerica001 The first link was to the a video the same people I sent you to, and the video clearly explains that different places use the name differently, which is my point! Seriously, how stupid do you need to make my point for me?
2
@CaptainAmerica001 you just refuse to take up any information that doesn’t agree with you. As I and the video explained, the US being called America is a truncation of United States of America. The only one who’s ignorant, arrogant, and condescending is you trying to force conventions of other languages on to English because you can’t understand how English categorizes land masses and vernacular.
2
@CaptainAmerica001 “Languages have nothing to do with the name of the United States of AMÉRICA.” WRONG! It has everything to do with it. In some languages the Americas are two continents, and in others they’re one. In some languages, the name of the US and the continents are completely different. In English the conventions are two continents, North and South America, and a country called America. I’m not insinuating anything. If I’m going to saying it; I’m going to be blunt about it.
2
@rizkyadiyanto7922 no, the Pax Americana
2
There have to be Russians to underestimate them
2
@Slender_Man_186 those numbers aren’t from the Soviets. That’s just some math. Regardless of the model you use, the amount of radiation people were exposed to would cause an increase in early deaths from cancer at a rate below the natural deviation you see in populations that size.
2
China’s only carriers are an old Soviet carrier and a copy of that one, and the new one they’re building is inferior to the Nimitz and Ford classes.
2
@Joseph China hasn’t escaped the middle income trap. Getting people to have few children is easy, but getting people to have more is hard. Moreover, even if they started having more children right now, it will take two decades before those children are old enough to start filling out China’s work force and start consuming goods en mass.
2
@darthutah6649 the Chinese economy has been slowing for years, and the government has been doping their economy with endless debt
2
@robertwright4906 Trump was always hated by the establishment Republicans, and he’s still massively popular among the populist wing. DeSantis, while I say this as a Floridian who is very happy with his governorship, he’s not well know out side of the state and political circles.
