That’s a funny joke
1
Ports won’t let them in if they do that.
1
@bobfg3130 and they have to get on and off of the ships while out of port.
1
The price for cargo is lower along with manned missions. Test launches fail. Operational rockets have had more failures.
1
You’re basically describing the SLAM
1
These cargo planes can land on unimproved airfields and the AC-130 on carriers. Both were talked about in the video
1
When close, within 20 miles (32k), to the shore, it was common for ships to fire on tanks.
1
Congress doesn’t have to declare war for to issue letters of marque. You don’t take ships with merchant ships. You take them with speedboats and maybe helicopters
1
The F-22 is more maneuverable than the F-15, and if the only way to detect it is with sound, the thing is damn near unkillable.
1
The hind has a lot of titanium armor. It’s part of why it has a reputation as being nearly indestructible.
1
Or you can just carry more payload.
1
SpaceX are planning on relaunching Superheavy boosters multiple times a day.

@artoriastheabysswalker3356 every time the US military has met a conventional military since the end of WW2 the US obliterated the other military. Ironically, it’s the very attitude you’re expressing as to why that happens. The US consistently over estimates the enemy and builds on a military to fight exaggerated enemy.
1
@Inlinesk8rr being prepared doesn’t. However, over estimating the enemy’s ability can leave you not taking actions that would otherwise shorten the war because you believe they will end disaster.
1
@wariyoshidirector China is a poor country with some rich coastal cities. Corruption is just as endemic in China as Russia. Moreover, China uses a lot of Russian equipment, either built or copied
1
@Strykenine as you say, the US is basically an island nation, but the US had to consolidate the continent first. When British are more likely to try invading by Canada than sailing from Great Britain.
1
@Brandonthesnifferofall do you understand the difference between now and the past because I’m talking about how the past still affects the US military?
1
@shorewall the expeditionary force sent to hunt down Poncho Villa, and that’s exactly my point. Our wars were mostly on land until fairly recently.
1
@Kitty Cat yes, the was no manifest destiny. The US started expanding with overseas colonies.
1
@davidtuttle7556 you make it sound like the US was laying out the money for vast armadas of ships. The first real ships the USN got were the Constitution class frigates. They were great frigates able to fight anything but a cutdown ship of the line. The problem is that’s nothing compared to the real sea powers of the time. The USN for most of its history has been focused on protecting American shores, not projecting power, like a true sea power. Also, it wasn’t until the 1900s that the Navy actually provided transportation for the Army. Before that the Army had to provide their own transport ships.
1
@Call-Me-Ryan-Thx what are you responding to?
1
@ph11p3540 the great naval power that disbanded the Continental Navy after the Revolution, and didn’t reestablish a navy for 20 years. Most of our wars have been Indian wars. While many tribes had canoes, there wasn’t what I would call naval warfare. The main reason the nation vs nation/empire warfare involves the navy is because that’s how we interact with the world outside of mainland of North America, not because we think of the navy first and foremost when thinking about warfare.

Gaijin is pronounced guy-jin

Privateers are independent companies who are licensed to take enemy ships as prizes. They’re more like bounty hunters
1
@morrisse0_0 the “free world”, like France who just convicted the opposition party’s leader to stop her from running in 2027? Germany, who tried banning and arresting the leaders of an opposition party? Romania, where they annulled and election because the government didn’t like the results. The UK and Ireland where you get arrested for memes? Canada where the government freezes your bank accounts for protesting their tyranny?
1
@Graphictruth Privateers aren’t irregulars. They’re private citizens licensed to take foreign ships. Moreover, you don’t need a destroyer to take a merchant ship. Somali pirates take them with wood dinghies
1
@YSKWatch I addressed that in a reply to someone else, but ports won’t allow civilian ships in port with weapons, not even handguns.
1
@YSKWatch 1) that doesn’t even in theory protect bulk freighters or tankers. 2) in practice it wouldn’t work on container ships either because you wouldn’t be able to unstack them.
1
Our main anti-ship missiles are air-to-surface, not surface-to-surface
1
Space elevators are never going to happen. Now orbital rings we can do that with technology we have and has many times more throughput.
1
I’m sure we can get a few countries, like the Philippines, could be convinced
1
In the book, they’re American
1
Because they need at least one gun for close in fighting.
1
@Sceptre1-1 it won’t be casualties. Those are the numbers of people who will starve from cutting themselves off from trade.
1
Most likely a couple of helicopters.
1
It’s great that you aren’t in charge of procurement. Your criteria is only looks.
1
@HelicopterMaster475 1) you didn’t say anything about safety 2) you clearly didn’t watch the video, which goes through the safety record of the V-22
1
@flynlion-p9i and?
1
@flynlion-p9i and again, that’s relevant how?
1
It’s not specifically tasked. It’s to what ever countries are considered enemies
1
It is. Alex just says it wrong
1
The Coast Guard is an actual Coast Guard. The Chinese Coast Guard is an offensive force disguised as a Coast Guard

@classifiedveteran9879 spacecraft already have radiators.
