I see, you're just an ass dogging on Japan.

Grimy HR, Texas and California aren’t mostly desert, granted California is a wasteland of a different kind. As for my point, people don’t understand how expansive the US and how that effects how we do things from the national to local levels.

People don’t seem to understand the US is the size of Europe with Texas and Alaska being bigger than every country in Europe besides Russia, which has most of its land in Asia anyways.

You seem to have forgotten that the Anglo-saxons were from what’s now Germany and Denmark and the Danish invasion.

@matthewgalasso1087 you eat the plastic food in the sets as kid, didn’t you?

Just not enough data. Once there’s more data, it will get better.

Japanese is written using a mix of Chinese characters, kanji, and Japanese characters, hiragana. Kanji tend to keep or slightly alter the meaning they had in Chinese. Hiragana on the other hand have their own completely Japanese meaning.

Hong Kongers speak Cantonese, which some people argue is a separate language from Mandarin. They have their own culture that’s a mix of British and Chinese. Furthermore, Hong Kong is an autonomous region with its own currency, immigration, laws, etc.. How are they supposed to feel about the mainland.

Yukie, Cantonese and Mandarin are in the gray zone between different dialects and different languages. I don’t really feel sympathy for the CCP having a hard time being evil.
1
Yukie, Cantonese and Mandarin have nearly the same level of mutual intelligibility as Spanish and Italian have. Although, English and Scotts is a better comparison because there’s a debate if it’s a separate language or a dialect of English.

Look at the letters on the number pads.

With a little bit of practice you get good at it. I used to text a lot using the old number pad phones in high school.

I’m pretty sure he’s talking about Hong Kong dollars, which are ~10¢.

Look at the letters on phone key pads.

That’s bad, but China is running concentration camps.

If she was bugged by the teasing, she wouldn’t have married him.
1
This isn’t took surprising. As the Han expanded outward they culturally concentrated people but couldn’t change their genetics. China is also a big place that has lots of intersecting groups.
1
China isn’t going to kidnap an American citizen and his wife from the US over a fee words.
1
Japan has been heavily influenced by China over the last two millennia, but that's not the same thing as getting everything you said from China.
1
Coffee for brains, Japan has had a major road network for hundreds of years. If you're talking about more modern forms of transportation, Japan began operating its first rail road in 1872, and they later built their first modern highway in 1957, just a year after the US began building our interstate system.

Even most people who filter their water are doing it for taste or hardness.
1
It’s an autonomous region that functions more like a country than a city.
1
I think this qualifies as if you can’t beat them, buy them off.

Hard water is water with high mineral content. Although, it should be find to drink unless it’s super hard, which mostly happens with wells.
1
That first place is hell on Earth.
1
In China. schools just dump tons of homework. If it doesn't wreck the kids, it makes them resentful for all that work.
1
I know this is just to glibly prove a point, but some of those I can’t help but say need a lot more context.
1
Normal people visit their family on occasion.
1
The violence is started by the police. Also, people and businesses aren’t just being attacked for no reason.
1
I was wondering about that.
1
Yeah, the Han culturally assimilated people rather than massacring and replacing.
1
Ore has a tough guy connotation. The better choice would be boku.
