  2. Gage Acosta how do you test for what values our society should hold or other value judgments? Not everything is simply empiricism. We could easily say slavery isn’t wrong anymore. What kind of empirical evidence are you going to use to prove that wrong?

  3. Gage Acosta, you’re presuming we care about human suffering. Wanting to reduce suffering is value you hold. Empirically prove slavery is wrong to an alien/ai who couldn’t care less about human wellbeing. To the paperclip maximizer form culdbob 12 that’s programmed to make as many paperclips as possible, it would only care if slavery helped produce more paperclips. You can’t empirically prove values.
