  2. The US has never been homogeneous. Back during the revolution there were nearly as many German speakers and English speakers. We literally fought a civil war because the North and South had completely different economies that lead to radically different views on slavery. To be honest, I don't know how we've managed to hold ourselves together.

  3. Well, building a house takes a certain level of intelligence. You need to be capable of more than just swinging a hammer, but it's probably boring to someone with a high IQ.
