  2. A lot of this is just wrong. Mexico was a dictatorship that had numerous rebellions against Mexico City, so the narrative that the Texicans rebelled over not having slaves is just a lie. At the best it was one of many issues. Also, Mexico had the better army with professional troops and training. The Texicans got their asses handed to them at every battle except for San Jacinto. In the Mexican-American war, the US just had an exceptional artillery corps trained in fly artillery tactics.

  3.  @Max.pina1511  Antonio López de Stanta Anna was dictator. Anyone saying otherwise should be disregarded from all serious discussion. As I said, slavery was one of several issues. In 1834 there had been several rebellions in other Mexican states with no slave owners, and even the Tejas, who were against slavery, supported the rebellion.
