It would help your case if you used the right form of “their”.

@Howdy Justice it’s a joke

Honey Badger, you’re time is ridiculously long. In less than 20 years SpaceX has gone from nothing to building the world’s largest rocket, which is fully reusable. It won’t take that long over again to get to Mars. Then there’s the fact Spaceship construction is beating even Elon’s hyper aggressive time lines, and SpaceX is only going to get faster at building them.

If what you say is true, who ever gave you a degree needs to revoke it.

The UK dialect pronounces aluminum that way. They even spell it differently.

@DFPercush stealth doesn’t really matter if you can act faster and in ways the enemy can’t respond. A flashbang is the exact opposite of subtle.
2
Grid fins have a much larger control surface relative to thier size. This means that you need mush smaller grid fins to do the job.

Rockets are extremely complex, highly engineered machines that take thousands of hours to build by highly skilled people. The fuel is just a lot of high grade kerosene.

Right now the rings Starship is made out of are made from multiple bent plates. What SpaceX is going to do on the ones after mk 1 & 2 is bend a single peace of steel into a ring and then weld the ends together. Also, consistent high quality steel is easy enough to get from a decent steel mill.
1
Starship Enterprise is a little too on the nose.

Rocket Lab launches from New Zealand, so a volcano launch site isn’t out of the question. And everyone thought Elon was the supervillain. Maybe Peter and Elon can have a contest for top supervillain.
1
@simongeard4824 I can’t see Elon doing that either. That’s part of the fun of who’s the top supervillain contest.

No, it was a 3 or 4

He speaks a dialect that hasn’t completed the great value shift, so what rhymes is a bit different.

I’ve thought about how to cook food in space and the best method I can think of is sous-vide. The food is already cooked sealed inside plastic pouches. It also uses a pump to gently circulate the water to ensure even cooking. The only problem I can think of is the water. The amount of water needed is rather large for space, and the rather large mass with a high heat capacity.

So you think a spaceship from a movie franchise is real but not really life rockets. That explains way too much.

Vladimir Dyuzhev, a big part of why crew dragon is taking so long is NASA.
1
Vladimir Dyuzhev, the only reason Crew Dragon hasn’t flown yet is the failure in the draco engine plumbing, and NASA are dragging their feet. As for life support systems, there’s plenty of expertise from the ISS.

Robert Chase, my point isn’t about Falcon9, Falcon Heavy, or Starship. My point is about how SpaceX operates. SpaceX doesn’t have the “It’ll get done when it gets done” attitude that permeates the aerospace industry. Their attitude is to push hard and fast, and the idea that they’re going to spend the next two decades lollygagging around is total nonsense.
1
Robert Chase, NASA are hyper conservative on the amount of radiation they allow astronauts to receive, so if they aren’t concerned about it, it’s not a problem. Under the linear no-threshold model, which is well known to over estimate the danger of radiation, there’s a 1% increase in the risk of getting cancer some time in the future.
1
ChristopherCobra, NASA is extremely risk adverse. They will spend huge amounts of time and money on solving the most minor problems. I’ve seen no evidence that cosmic radiation is more dangerous than things people deal with daily.
1
ChristopherCobra, saying it’s your job doesn’t substantiate your assertion. Since it’s your job, it should be easy to shut-up an idiot on YouTube with some basic facts. The answer to why we haven’t gone to Mars is politics. Mars Just hasn’t been made a national priority like getting to the moon was, and since then, the manned space program has for the benefit of the contractors rather than for an end goal.
