  4. I’ve got one with my kitchen light and built microwave on it. It was so annoying having to turn the light on and reset the microwave’s time to use it, I replaced the light with a fan/light with a pull chain so I can keep the switch on all the time. My next DIY project is removing the switch and covering the wall.

  8. I figure that people replace the light fixture about as often as the LEDs burn out, which would make it a net improvement by saving light bulbs. Also, Japan has been doing this for decades even without LEDs.

  9. You’re completely over reacting to thorium being the tiniest bit radio active. There are plenty of things that are more radio active in your house, like you’re smoke detector.
