It means, for example, that someone who has a contagious disease will seek help rather than spread it to others, that people are less likely to be bankrupted by illness and forced to rely on the state as a result, that less working days are lost through treatable illness and that people don't die or become disabled because they are too poor to afford treatment, thus depriving society of their skills, experience and other contributions. It's a slam dunk. Everyone wins. How would it make people die of hunger?

Ultimately, it did save capitalism in the US. It certainly wasn't socialist. Biden's limp imitation of it is also to prevent the US economy falling off a cliff which was extremely likely after Trump's clown show. The "green" part is pure branding and it is entirely inadequate with regard to dealing with climate change. The "coat of arms" of the Soviet Union? Such a thing does not exist. I assume you mean the state emblem. What exactly is supposed to be so obvious?

They report being treated decently by their captors and one witness has told us that IDF tanks deliberately fired ordnance into several houses where they they knew hostages were. But it is good that at least someone is listening to the narrative and spotting the holes in it.

His line was that things like social security, municipal housing, socialised healthcare, state provided education etc all distorted wages which, if determined by market forces, would settle at the level which would be best for both business and all the individuals concerned, with each then able to make their own choices about how they spent those wages. Utter bollocks, of course. The magic detail about this branch of "economics" is that it never needs to provide empirical evidence to back it up. Because the policy proposals it results in benefit the ultra rich, there is never any shortage of donations to fund the "educational" institutions which teach it. Were it not for that magic detail, Harper, along with Hayek, Friedman, Von Mises, Laffer etc would never have even made a living, let alone influenced government policy for five decades and creepy little know-nothing rich kids like Shapiro would have to work in a proper job like the rest of us.
