The Laffer Curve was a "theory" that that tax revenues could be increased by decreasing taxes on the rich because they would take less steps, either legal or illegal, to minimise their taxes and be more willing to take risks knowing they would get to keep more of the loot. But you are right to call it "Laffable" A far more credible theory is that so called "economists" get increased funding for their faculties, colleges etc the more they make policy proposals which benefit the ultra-rich people who make big donations to faculties, colleges etc

@R_A_3000 I left school 50 years ago, sonny. That's also the last time I had to say no to drugs cos I haven't hung with anyone who needs them since. I suggest you go back to school and study empirical method. Then, if you pay attention, you'll be able to explain WHY you think my argument doesn't make sense rather than try and make a patronising and not-very-smart wisecrack.

@jenofire8724 He wants Freedom with a capital "F" apparently. That's entirely differnt from the small "f" freedom which means being free to marry anyone you want, freedom to wear what you want without being accused of inviting rape, freedom to be black without being shot down by trigger happy policemen and freedom from hunger, unemployment and avoidable illness. Those are progressive weirdo freedoms.
