From the beginning, it was clear that Israel had its lies about the attack prepared in advance. The genocidal onslaught which followed also seemed to play out according to a pre-prepared plan. But it's always been my practice never to attribute to conspiracy or malice that which can be explained by incompetence and stupidity (Two prevalent characteristics of the IDF) so I initially dismissed the suggestions that Israel knew in advance. But this is a game changer. The possibility that Netanyahu deliberately allowed the attack to proceed in order to provide a pretext for genocide has to be considered. If so, the charge for war crimes is unanswerable - including against those Western leaders who have aided and abetted this onslaught. Don't tell Owen Jones, by the way. He seems to think that the suggestion is Antisemitic. Goodness knows why.
