  1. Powell was awful. But he was intelligent and interesting. I couldn't possibly admire him because his prejudices took him along an evil path but I respected his intellect and was fascinated by his pragmatism - twisted though it was . By contrast, Anderson is just an arse: Stupid, ignorant and nasty.
