  1. Israelis, especially the skilled and educated ones, are leaving the country at an accelerating rate and the Israeli economy is in shreds as a result. In the US and Europe, young Jews are increasingly turning away from Zionism. Young Israelis in the meantime, are refusing to turn up for military duty even as Israel has opened up a fourth front (after Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis) in Syria. I admit that this could be wishful thinking, but it seems to me that the Zionist project is stretched out about as thinly as it's possible to stretch. And yes, Damien, this video has cheered me up no end. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and I'll look forward to having my thinking prodded once again in the new year.
