Every now and again, you get these people who start off on the left but then migrate to being the Left's would-be nemesis: Ramsay MacDonald, George Brown, Reg Prentice and Lord Chalfont are just a few but you could probably fill this page with a list of them with very little effort. Paul Mason seems to be a supercharged version of that, though. He started off being a reasoned and measured progressive commentator but has progressed to being a crazed red-baiter to rival the John Birch Society. It'd be great if Starmer sets him against Corbyn: Like Barcelona playing Hamilton Academicals.
