  1. What you've described is a "result" for the US and Israel, Damien. Weak neighbours are good neighbours as far as Netanyahu is concerned. But that hasn't always worked out for them. For example, they encouraged Hezbollah in Lebanon as a foil to the PLO who were then based there. Yes. That Hezbollah. the one that has been ripping them a new rear orifice for the last few months. I suspect that their new ISIS/Al Qaeda friends may well take exception to their forays into Southern Syria. They've displaced Assad and now they're going to want to take over his weaponry. They're not going to take kindly to Israel trying to blow it to Kingdom Come....
