The biggest lie is the claim that they are fulfilling some sort of religious destiny. The Haredis are one of the most outspoken of those calling out false references to scripture used to justify the atrocities of the Zionist colonial project. They are truly desperate if they think that they can get these extremely pious and sincere young men to fight for their cause. It's a bit like forcing vegans to work in a slaughterhouse. I suspect that most Israeli generals would rather have no soldiers at all.
