While Blair was insufficiently critical of Thatcher before and during his premiership, he didn't reveal the true extent of his admiration for her nor reveal his aim to build on her "legacy" until long after he needed public support. Starmer is so arrogant he thinks he can get away with saying this BEFORE getting elected. I actually think he had already blown a dirty great hole in Labour's core support before this incredible own goal. But this could be the last nail needed for the coffin. May he rest in pieces.
