Rewind back to the 1930s when those trying to raise the alarm about the intentions of another genocidal movement were treated with contempt and disdain by the US, the UK, France and all their allies. @richardhead3062 Were that the case, the death toll on 7 October would have been many times what it was. In fact, most of the deaths were caused by Israeli tanks and helicopter gunships. The guerillas concentrated on taking hostages to trade against the hostages held by the Israelis and most of those returned reported that they were well treated. Why did you go to "the strip"?

At one point, they had to revise down the civilian death count because there were several hundred guerillas mixed in with the bodies. That could only be because they were killed at the same time and in the same way. We know from one eyewitness account that tanks were firing into buildings knowing that both civilians and guerillas were inside. The helicopter gunships (yes. They were there) were ordered to fire on all vehicles heading towards the border fence - knowing that many of the people in those cars would be hostages. There may well have been atrocities committed in the 7 October action but the claims made in the aftermath were mostly concocted with the clear intention of encouraging Israeli "soldiers" to commit atrocities in the ensuing invasion of Gaza.
