  1. I hate the expression "How much are you worth?" Everyone is worth the same, whether you're Elon Musk or the guy that asks for change outside ScotMid. Can we say "How much have you got?", please?

  2. Good to challenge the lazy thinkers - and tax is the ultimate subject for lazy thinking. I think we have to remember that tax has a number of reasons for existing. Raising revenue is only one of them. But the range of options you have suggested is very sensible and, more importantly, very easy. Starting with the low-hanging fruit can never be a bad idea.
