  2. I can't help thinking that we're drifting into something resembling George Orwell's three power blocks. Russia is really a junior partner of China, of course. Your referral to Vlad and Donald as psychopaths also made me think of the kind of leader that seems to be prominent throughout the world right now. We don't have any MacMillans, De Gaulles, Kennedys, etc anymore. I'm not expressing admiration for any of the but at least they had personalities of their own with imagination and ideas. ALL today's leaders (think Blair, Johnson, Macron, Schulz, Biden) seem to say and so the same things and are all sociopathic with little or no care for ordinary people. Putin and Trump are different, of course. The former is extraordinarily evil and the latter extraordinarily stupid. That's why the others are unable to deal with them.
