  1. Trump/Musk is going to be the main story for 2025. There's a chilling parallel between the Musk/MAGA "civil war" and the conflict between the two wings of the Nazi Party. Hitler needed the middle class and war veterans to give himself muscle on the streets through the SA and, of course, a mass voter base. Once he had gained power, he had no further use for them and most of his populist promises evaporated and the aristocratic and better educated SS took over from the crude thuggery of the SA. Although there are very different policy matters involved, we can see the same class dichotomy going on with Trump and Musk's power grab. The MAGA nitwits who gave him his victory are already seeing the expectation dashed. Expect groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers to become quasi-official paramilitary militias in the short term. They'll be used to quell protests by both the Left and by disappointed Maga cucks. But they'll be replaced in due course by a more disciplined force on message with Musk. It will certainly be "brutal and unacceptable" by any civilised criteria. The only silver lining I can see is that it will weaken US world dominance.
