  1. We're not going to get this from Starmer. In fact, no Labour Leader would be able to deliver this even if they wanted to. The vast majority of decent Labour MPs have either left the party or been expelled on spurious "antisemitism" charges. it's left a cabal of seat-warming detritus whose only concern is their future seat in the House of Lords or consultancies and directorships from companies that they ingratiate while in office. The UK needs a radical progressive party with imaginative leaders who will set out to provide the solutions Richard is advocating here. But I don't think that's going to happen until we get a shock like a Reform victory or, more optimistically, Scottish independence or Irish unification.

  2.  @ScruffyTubbles  McDonald would be working under the same handicap as Corbyn: A parliamentary party full of self-seeking time servers. The last thing they want is Labour policies which sour their chances of jumping to lucrative directorships and consultancies when the electorate boot them out. The Labour Party has become rotten to the core and the only remedy is a new progressive party.
