Disillusion with Labour is inevitable and not a bad thing, in my view. What's worrying me is that their perfidy is going to corrupt the very idea of democracy. This happened in the Blair years, of course, but the danger is that a generation is growing up which has never seen anything from government but corruption and callous indifference to social justice. Politics then becomes an arena where the VERY worst of political adventurers flourish. I think Farage has sensed that too. That's why he's abandoned the Orange One and is setting himself up ready to take advantage of the coming chaos.
