  1. I love the way that you've made this into a cartoon so that simpler minds will be able to follow it. No one suggests that there weren't other slave trades. In fact, the slavery employed in the Americas wouldn't have been possible without there already being slavery infrastructure in place. But the whole point about the Trans-Atlantic slave trade is first of all its scale and secondly its relevance to our industrial development. All this stuff is interesting. But it's completely irrelevant.
