  1. 5:02 Bit of both they are public areas but no one would be swimming with huge waves like these. Usually surfers seek out really rough surf and huge waves. We have what's called patrolled and non patrolled surf. The surfers would seek our the non patrolled surf, and the swimmers would stay in the patrolled surf.

  5. Funny you say you are not a water person, because you will find most Australians have grown up around water. Due to most of our population living on the coast we all grew up going to the beach as kids. So it's funny to hear someone say they haven't experienced much beaches.
