  1. With the Tories now you can give or receive assets up to a £1M inheritance tax free ( it's called the threshold) over the threshold you pay 40% tax. Labour's manifesto pledge is to reduce the threshold down to £650,000.00.( if you are relying on assets to buy a house, you have no chance with Labour ( check it with a solicitor and see for yourself) please
