( the £1M is called the threshold) that’s why 4% of the population pays 40% tax on assets over the threshold. Labour’s proposed policy is to bring down the threshold to zero ( forcing everyone in the UK to pay 40% inheritance tax on ALL assets ( basically if your house is worth £400,000 and you die, your children will ONLY receive £240,000) SIMPLE
