If you die, your next of kin pay 45% inheritance tax on assets over £1M ( this is called the threshold, set by the Tories now). If you google Labours manifesto pledge on inheritance tax they want to reduce the threshold down to £125,000.00 (so if a house is worth) say £600,000.00 less the Labour threshold of £125,000.00 = £475,000.00. The next of kin will be taxed 45% on £475,000.00, ( After a life time of work by parents to pay a mortgage you end up paying £213,750.00 inheritance tax from a house worth £600,000.00). In God’s name why vote for these thieves.

The inheritance tax threshold with the Tories now providing you do a will that only costs £300.00, is £325,000.00 from you plus your wife's allowed threshold again £325,000.00, plus a further ( £175,000.00 from you and a further £175,000.00 from your wife if your giving it to your children or adopted children). It’s a total of £1M that you can give to your next of kin without the need to pay inheritance tax. ( I know ,I did my will last year). Labour's policy is to reduce the threshold from £1M to £125,000 , and make people pay 45% tax over £125,000.00. (if you need prove just go to YouTube and watch the following video)— ((Why is the Labour Inheritance Tax Proposal a Problem - UK Election 2019 Update)).
