If a bird could pick up my friend and take him away off our trail in the snow, then a bird can throw me or a Jury off course. A large bird calm killed the boy who was eleven or twelve. If no jury convicted the bird or the boy then I see not to quit the same white man that looks like him. The bird is better than a man sometimes. How much would you bet that this tall tale couldn't be allowed in Court. No proof ever surfaced and I was the last to see him alive. With no one to believe me, it looks like the owl kept the black kid, me, safe, and ate the white kid as prey.
