  2.  @DarkwarriorJ  I disagree. During the Ming dynasty, Zheng He, sailed to present day Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Iran, Oman,Yemen, Somalia and Kenya. As opposed to the West/Japan, China never had colonial nor imperialistic ambitions. But commercially, China had always looked outward; it's BRI is the present day iteration of that tradition.
