  4. I love "Babe"; for quite a while after seeing that sweet movie, I abstained from pork - I have relapsed. Kudos to Mr Cromwell for his activism + acting.

  5. She almost died while filming "The Stunt Woman" (1996) on what was a "relatively easy" stunt for Michelle. After her 1st action sequence in CTHD, Michelle tore her ACL. She was still injured when she filmed Chow's (Li Mu Bai) death scene. She was so marvelous in that scene, that Ang Lee had to cry in private for 15mins, + referred to her brilliant acting as "1 of the most precious moment of his life". I truly felt in 2001 + still now, that Michelle should have been nominated for CTHD - her portrayal of Shu Lien was reserved, but powerful; poignant; deep; nuanced; - she was indeed the "the merciful dragon". (Lee also said Michelle carried the film - she carried all the burdens + obligations.)
