I wrote, "Cate's character..."; from this you "deduced" I thought it was "real". Ignorance is bliss.
I am euphoric + ecstatic that Cate + Field didn't win a single oscar. Tar is a bad, boring, pretentious
film about a narcissistic sexual predator, manipulating younger women. Also, Field was perpetuating
the pernicious racism entrenched in Hollywood; there was absolutely no reason for him to move to the
Philippines for the brothel scene - racism at it's worse, defaming an entire nation for his desperate, selfish
agenda of securing an oscar. This is exactly the racism Michelle + the EEAAO team are fighting against.
The Daniels + Michelle deserve infinitely more praises than they have/will receive.
(The fact that Cate didn't object to this racist scene speaks to her moral ambiguity. Angelina Jolie, a far
better actress, and surely a superior person, would have forcefully protested against such an insidious
scene, + even ditched the film, had the location of the brothel scene not been corrected.)
