So Asians came via Russia to Alaska (where the Bering Strait is now), traveled down the West Coast, to populate North America. You should be careful referring Asian-Americans as "not American". Being hispanic, I KNOW MANY, DON'T CONSIDER YOU TO BE AMERICAN EITHER. During the AIDS Crisis, I worked @ a hospital + many of the patients were Hispanic; it was BECAUSE of a CHINESE-AMERICAN PHYSICIAN, Dr. David Ho, whom advocated AGGRESSIVE ANTIRETROVIRAL THERAPY, that AIDS, then + now, IS NO LONGER FATAL.
