  1.  @AKDHFR  Tianducheng ISN'T a "fail". It was designed for 10,000 residents, but has grown to 30,000 inhabitants. I am sure it is more gorgeous + has a better quality of life than where you live.

  2.  @samirSch  If "everything (is) at a walking distance" how does that makes people isolated ??? The residents will be walking and INTERACTING with the shop owners + other residents. On the contrary, if you live far from from the stores, you have to drive there - which makes ones detached from the neighbors.

  4. @MarionThiessen CORRECT ! The 2nd apt, still under construction, that the group saw, seems like it would be MAGNIFICENT + probably a place we North Americans can afford. The hotel was ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING, + 70 USD for room with 2 beds is dirt cheap !

  22. Even when it was new the hotel was only mediocre; defintiely not as gorgeous as the hotel in Tianducheng (fake Paris).
