The sports you mentioned are western sports. As Shenzhou posted, there are Chinese swimming and playing tennis,
due to the rise of the middle/upper middle class. I have not been to China lately, but from the many vloggers whom are
presently in China, I see that the Chinese are fairly active; there is always groups dancing in the parks or public squares.
People are playing ping pong on tables set up in the basketball courts.The retired and elderly use the free gym equipment
in the parks.They also sing traditional and folk songs in the parks, and some even sing Chinese opera in the parks. Chinese
practice Tai Chi in the shopping malls and parks. In the evenings, many Chinese, with their family, enjoy a stroll in their public
space. The Chinese may not engage in many strenuous sports, but they also are NOT couch potatoes. I live in an American
suburb; there is much more physical activities in the videos from the vloggers in China, than in my community.
