Exactly. A Brit denouncing the Hungarian system which has some proportional representation compared to their own which has none is hilarious.

A Brit talking about another country not having fair elections is hilarious. Britain doesn't even have any proportional representation--it uses straight first pass the post which silences any small party. Candidates can also win with 15% of the vote as long as no other candidate got any more than 14.9% of the vote.

@prometheusjackson8787 If the majority are conservative Christians (their vision of), then democratic elections will reflect that. I see that has happened.

Orban: Wants to limit LGBTQ rights? Wants to limit abortions? Anti-EU? So he's like an american republican? I don't think he or his party is authoritarian, but I'm not Hungarian. What I see is a politically savvy leader taking advantage of the system (as many politicians do). I also see a country with a majority conservative Christian world view (their vision). This means that the democratic votes will reflect that. Democracy is, after all, two wolves and a lamb voting for dinner.

@prometheusjackson8787 I think a better euro system would have been averaging the national currencies so that they could have sovereign monetary strategies (ie printing their own money). Hegg, I think the averaging should go from the municipality to the state and then to the nation. Let's build up towns.
