Private companies hurt their own profits by politicising their goods. Sure LGBTQ is popular now (and probably why they support as it's safe--see if there are any lgbt ads from the 1990s or even the early 2000s), but see if there are ads that support something controversial today that could be a human right in the future. Typically, it goes: 1) mentioned in shame 2) mentioned and joked about 3) main character is one 4) outright advocacy

Don't question it. Just prosecute the person who leaks the US involvement. 😋

Why would the legislature need to suspend or expel? Shouldn't that be handled by the non-partisan european court of human rights (ECHR)? If a country or a person has an issue with a country or leader, can they not sue at the ECHR? Do ECHR rulings have no enforcement? In either case, I am curious about the outrage in this. Didn't Hungary join before LGTBQIPF+ was popular for govt (2003)?

@bentels5340 Even in the states where the supreme court is part of the US system of govt, court rulings cannot truly be enforced if the enforcers (police, politicians, etc) do not enforce. The supreme court does not have their own elite constitutional guard that enforces and arrests. All enforcers are under the executive. Andrew Jackson famously said: " the supreme court made its ruling. Now let them enforce it."

The EU needs a Shay's rebellion to turn the de facto confederacy into a proper federation.
